Blanchard, Robertson, Mitchell & Carter, P.C. is the largest law firm in Joplin and among the oldest in the region.

The firm was originally formed in 1942 by Robert E. Seiler, Karl W. Blanchard, and Herbert Van Fleet, with the core values of hard work, integrity, and zealous advocacy on behalf of their clients.

Today, the firm continues to honor and abide by those same traditions and values in providing its clients with sound counsel and advice in an efficient and cost effective manner.

Through the years the firm has continued to grow and has developed a reputation as one of the most respected firms in the region representing clients in the Southwest Missouri and Southeast Kansas in both state and federal courts. The firm's primary areas of practice include personal injury, professional liability, products liability, truck and auto accidents and commercial litigation.

In addition to representing clients’ civil litigation matters, the firm practices extensively in workers’ compensation, education, commercial, corporate, civil rights and employment law. BRMC attorneys also maintain a general practice in estate planning, banking, probate, and administrative law.

The firm has also developed a very wide ranging and successful alternate dispute resolution practice.
